about
About a error in judgement on my part during my years in college that cost me the experience of graduating with my friends. I graduated, and rewrote my story but at the time I felt like everything I had worked toward had been undone. It's a song about redemption and owning our mistakes and not being crushed by them!
lyrics
12:07 sittin on the floor
I've made mistakes before
But this one wrecks me
Country drivin’
I couldn’t show my face
Small towns they give no breaks
Gotta make that phone call
Empty Apartment
I quickly pack my things
Drive away ashamed
Now everyone knows my name
I didn't want that kind of fame
My phone is silent
Never said goodbye
Everyone asks why
This was not my ending
I worked the night shift
Cried to a guy name Steve
drunk on memories
Say goodbye to my dreams
Can’t take it back
What's done is done
Now it's time to move on
Can’t show my face
Stuck in this place
21 and undone
Failures not what they say
Ask for money I won’t pay
Haven’t been back
a single day
What happened to my heyday
Failures not what they say
Got a reminder and its framed
Haven’t been back
A single day
Maybe that will soon change
12:07 sitting on the floor
Made mistakes before
Won’t let this one wreck me
